With lots of patience and help from the Thompson Method, he’s doing so well!!!
I had my little boy 2 weeks ago today, and I’m so happy to say we’ve exclusively breastfed the entire time. However the hospital taught me the forceful method, literally pushing baby into my breast until we basically forced him to latch. Exhausted and desperate to BF I followed their advise but now that I’m home, I’ve come to learn that naturally letting him find the breast / latch is much more successful. My left nipple is flat, and bub has really struggled latching the entire time. Because of this I started pumping on that side and bottle feeding. However I became determined to be more patient and try to help him latch on my left side. With lots of patience and help from the Thompson Method, he’s doing so well!!! He can feed until satisfied. I’m thankful for this program and the support I’ve received, quickly getting questions answered has been so helpful. Don’t give up mammas and follow your instincts!! 💗💗🥰

I have had such a difference in latching overnight, literally!
Just joined last night and my sweet babe is 10 days old. I want to express that after watching the first module into the second and simply listening to Dr Robyn's teaching, I have had such a difference in the latching overnight, literally! I actually quite regret not finding out about it sooner... after the crash course, uncomfortable and awkward cross- cradle hold training in the hospital, I have been extremely frustrated, in pain and discouraged. My left nipple has since had a blister, and had been causing me to shy away from feeding her with it, and instead pumping only on that side... only, with Dr. Thompsons method, we're adjusting with minimal discomfort due to the blister still healing. As you can see from the pic I'm nursing from the left now! Overnight success. This Mama Bear is a happy Mama Bear. Thank you Dr. Robyn!

I've had no more nipple pain & no mastitis or boob pain like every other breastfeeding mother I know! THANK YOU!!!
I just wanted to say thank you so much for this program! My son is 4w tomorrow & from the start have had a fantastic breastfeeding experience. He had to get taken to special nursery but as it wasn't emergency I insisted on the first feed & due to that his symptoms had already subsided by the time he arrived (that was the Drs observation not mine!).
The only time I had pain was when I had trouble latching 1 side & a pushy midwife told me babies couldn't self latch & I had to "feed him a hamburger" & grabbed my boob & forced it in his mouth.
After that healed I referred back to the program & have had a fantastic experience since! He's gaining weight at a phenomenal rate (already 1kg past birth weight), I've had no more nipple pain & no mastitis or boob pain like every other breastfeeding mother I know!
THANK YOU!!!

So incredibly grateful for this program and all of the support we found.
We did it!! 12 amazing months feeding my superstar! He was 6 weeks early, HD no skin to skin at birth, taken from me and ventilated, spent time in NICU, had CPAP, spent the first ten days living in hospital away from me.
We had nipple trauma, bleeding nipples, lipstick nipples, oversupply, latching issues, tummy upset. But we did it!!!
So incredibly grateful for this program and all of the support we found. He’s such a little boob monster, and I love our beautiful bond 🥰💕

My little guy is 8 months old and I experienced absolutely no nipple pain or trauma from following this method from the moment I got to hold my little guy.
Hi all. I just wanted to extend a huge thank you to Robyn and the team. My little guy is 8 months old and after some initial issues such as extreme over supply we have been having a very successful breastfeeding journey thanks to the advise I found here. I also have to say that I experienced absolutely no nipple pain or trauma from following this method from the moment I got to hold my little guy. I couldn’t believe it after I had such bad trauma from unlatching and relatching with my first. Thanks again Picture of Sammys very first feed where I was very aware of how I had him positioned. He slept for 7 hours after this amazing first feed.

From her not latching the first 48 hours, to using a nipple shield, to finally no problems.
I didn’t breastfeed my first and no-one believed I would have the perseverance to breastfeed my second daughter and basically said “we’ll believe it when we see it.” 7 months later and we have no end in sight. I was induced 4 weeks early because my amniotic fluid was leaking and she was having Decelerations, and I was afraid it would be an end, before it even started. But together we figured it out. Through many tears, sleepless nights, losses, and victories. From trying cradle hold, to realizing my breasts were too large because she was only 5lbs (even propped with a towel) to realizing football hold worked the best. We can finally do cradle now. From her not latching the first 48 hours, to using a nipple shield, to finally no problems. Because of this program I had no nipple trauma, and I had the confidence to make the decisions I needed to in the best interests of my daughter. So for the knowledge from this program and the support and techniques I learned in this group, from the bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Now using the points of symmetry and fine tuning we’ve got a great latch with NO pain
✨August Clifford is 6 weeks today and every day we get a little closer to easier feeds! He’s even starting a little more rythym with his feeds - every 3 hrs.
I was struggling weening off nipple shields🛡 and we finally have had successful night feeding and all day feeding- both breasts with rest and digest.
😭I was having blocked ducts, nipple pain and milk blisters but now using the points of symmetry and fine tuning we’ve got a great latch with NO pain (just initial discomfort that goes away once we get started)
🥺I never thought I’d be able to breast feed my babe.
💦 We went through low supply, blisters, heavy let downs (I use a Hakka and hand express if I’m really full before he feeds now so it’s gentle expression) and so many tears but every difficulty we kept going.
💕
I love this program and love seeing my baby so peaceful and smiley.
🤱🏻I also love knowing that all that matters is he’s happy and fed and I love the community here.
👑Mamas- don’t guilt yourself.
I fed my babe formula to top up when my supply was low, I have my husband take over from 5-10 at night, sometimes if my nipples are sensitive I bottle feed.
🙅🏻♀️It took a while to not guilt myself but all that matters is we are all trying our best to find our own rythym and way amidst sleep deprivation and anxiety.
🤗Sending so much love to all the mamas and admins and people who make this program what it is.

Once I went back to basics and followed the Thompson Method, we were able to correct everything and my nipples finally healed!!
I followed the Thompson Method after 3 weeks of trying the hospitals way. My nipples were cracked and bleeding and my baby was struggling with his latch. Once I went back to basics and followed the Thompson Method, we were able to correct everything and my nipples finally healed!! I swear by this method and wished I did it from day 1!! Don't listen to them and stick to your guns!!

I tried again with the Thompson method it was so easy and he has been feeding like a champ ever since!
I had complications and had my skin to skin with my son only 3hours after birth. I was so exhausted i didn't fight and listen to the midwives. They tried to shove my boob in my son's mouth and made me hold his head. It was forceful i hated it and my baby couldn't latch. Then once alone back in the room i tried again with the Thompson method it was so easy and he has been feeding like a champ ever since!
Good luck! Trust your instinct ❤

We have struggled some with getting her latch right and have had some nipple trauma, but thanks to this group we are getting on track
Just had to share a "win" for us today. Baby girl had her one month check up yesterday and is doing so great! She was born on 2-12-21, natural birth with no pain meds, 3 golden hours. We have struggled some with getting her latch right and have had some nipple trauma, but thanks to this group we are getting on track. Despite the setbacks we have continued to EBF and this little girl has gained 4 pounds since leaving the hospital! Her pediatrician was quite surprised to see her jump in percentiles, but pleased that she was doing so well being EBF. So proud of this little lady and so glad that I am able to provide for her like this. This group has been a great resource and has helped us continue, even when things were tough. ❤️

1 month exclusively breastfeeding!! Omg it feels so good to say this!
I just wanted to say thank you. We are 5 months EBF.
It was a difficult journey. I had watched some videos and read about the Thompson Method slightly before my delivery but wish I had done it sooner.
I knew about the Three Golden Hours and forceful technique of the hospital sometimes teaches. I had a planned c section due to surgeries from a complication of the delivery and loss of my son in 2018.
This delivery was also emergent as I lost consciousness from a reaction to anesthesia.
Needless to say I didn’t get my golden hours. I didn’t hold my daughter for 8 hours. She had a really hard time latching and we were both really tired and out of it from all the meds. It was complications after that. Nipple shields, forceful pushing of her head, mastitis, high bilirubin, light therapy, pumped colostrum, bottle feeds of pumped milk. It was terrible.
But this program, it helped me hold the line of what I wanted. I was able to seek more advice, read more information, listen to other women, and now we feed 7 times in 24 hours and we don’t have any issues, no shield, and no bottles of breast milk. She is gaining and growing. I would buy this program for any expecting mom. Thank you Dr. Thompson, thank you moms for sharing your experiences, thanks for cheering me on.

After getting this course 2 weeks ago and applying the methods, my baby’s latch is so much better
We are finally successfully breastfeeding every meal 🙌🏼🎉💗 baby is 5 weeks old and before finding this course I was in true breastfeeding hell. We had all the wrong advice, a tongue tie, bottle feeding and a pacifier advised/ given by the hospital staff on day 1… it all resulted in bleeding, cracked, and bruised nipples by day 3. The whole left boob was a giant clogged duct. I started pumping to let the nipples heal but later learned I had the wrong pump size and style… so pumping and bottle feeding resulted in burned and bruised nipples. I couldn’t even dry off with a towel after showing without being in terrible pain when the towel lightly brushed them. After getting this course 2 weeks ago and applying the methods, my baby’s latch is so much better and he doesn’t bite anymore. We are loving the breastfeeding life and so grateful to have found Dr Thompson. I took this pic at an angle, it’s my favorite so far, like peek a boobie!🤣😍💗

My daughter latched perfectly following Dr Robyn's method and I had no pain after the initial latch
Hey lovelies, First time posting but have stalked a lot of the posts I relate to and watched the videos that have been posted on them. I had my darling daughter on 12/11/21 via planned c-section. Have had some feeding issues with latching due to high volume/fast flow and my nipples have been traumatised (bleeding, cracked and blisters) this resulted in my daughters jaundice needing light treatment for 24hours, during this time I fed off both breasts and offered EBM top ups to flush her system. I was feeling really discouraged and heart broken because I thought our journey would be cut short if she could feed properly. So i just wanted to thank this group big time because tonight I did a happy dance. My daughter latched perfectly following Dr Robyn's method and I had no pain after the initial latch. :-) I am sure we won't get it right 100% of the time but we are learning together and improving every day and it gives me hope that we will work this out together. Thank you team from one grateful mumma ❤❤❤

We overcame jaundice, latching difficulty, Strep B, weight loss, we weaned off nipple shields!
Thank you for all your help and support. It’s with great sadness that I am posting the end of our breastfeeding journey. We managed just under 8 months, not the year that I had hoped for once we passed 6 months. We overcame jaundice, latching difficulty, Strep B, weight loss, we weaned off nipple shields! (I never thought we could achieve that!) we managed to be EBF after needing top ups and we had a month of not being able to feed one side due to a bite that wouldn’t heal. My journey with my 1st child ended at 6 weeks due to CMPA and being unable to latch. This program gave me 8 months feeding my baby girl. But stress and circumstances of being on my own for the past month with my two children while my husband visited his dying father in South Africa, and then getting stuck there, and having to quarantine on his return, have resulted in my milk drying up and my baby girl pushing me away 💔. I had hoped to one day post a milk bath photo but my supply never let me. On Tuesday after taking every known supplement to increase supply, pumping every 2 hours for days and still only getting 2 tiny drops of milk per session, I finally gave up on trying to build up a supply again. It was an incredibly tough journey for us at the start and I’m glad I kept going. I’m very emotional about it ending sooner than I had hoped, but I’m trying to think of the positives. I have a thriving baby girl, who got the best start and my COVID vaccine antibodies. Thank you 🙏 and goodbye ❤️ it’s just too painful to see the posts right now as this is my last baby x
