After 2.5 years, my exclusive nursing journey is coming to a close!!! While it's a bittersweet milestone, I'm extremely thankful for the support of this group, Dr. Robin's practices, and her team. My focus will now shift to trying for baby number 2 💕

TTM Success Story!
I went into my first breastfeeding experience pretty uninformed, and I regretted it. My daughter was born preterm and spent time in the NICU. I blindly followed what the well-meaning staff/doctors/lactation consultants recommended for bottle feeding and pumping. I was never able to establish a good latch and exclusively pumped for 8 months. It was brutal and stressful.
During my second pregnancy my priority was to be armed with as much breastfeeding knowledge as possible. I found the the Thompson Method and I credit it with all of my success this time around. The combination of Dr. Thompson's research-based information and encouragement to trust my instincts was exactly what I needed. With all the conflicting breqatfeeding info out there, with TTM, I knew what was important and what not to worry about. While I experienced challenges in the first 2 days, I sought advice from the admin and persevered. I was able to recognize the ridiculousness of the pediatrician recommending formula/bottle feeding for my 1 day old, and follow my instincts to continue exclusively breastfeeding in those early days. I was able to successfully introduce bottles at 6 weeks to prepare for my return to work.
I just celebrated my daughter's first birthday and we are still going strong. I recommend this program to every pregnant mama I encounter.

Almost 16 months of breastfeeeding this sweet girl. Her brother is about to be born any day now so my journey with my girl is coming to a pause. I hope to casually nurse her while full time feeding her newborn brother. I think it will be magical to share that bond with both of them at the same time. However, right now mama needs a little break and she’s weaning beautifully. I couldn’t be more grateful and thankful for this group, the admins, the mamas, Dr Robyn and all the support. I wouldn’t have had such a successful breastfeeding journey without you all. Thank you and love you all. Here’s to the next journey beginning soon!!!

Breastfeeding for One whole year!! 🤱🏻
Greatest accomplishment of my life!
So blessed to have found the Thompson method since my journey started off rough, and then I trusted the process and listened to my body and my baby. Which is why I love the Thompson method most naturally, stress free way of teaching breastfeeding.
After that it has been so smooth and pain free and so amazing!
There’s nothing like the bond breastfeeding brings, though it’s the greatest sacrifice we can do. 🤍

I cannot recommend this program enough!
I remember taking my little man to his 2 month pediatric appt. After he was done being weighed, the nurse asked me if I was EBF him. I responded with a very proud, "yes!" She then said, "way to go mama, you must be feeding him 'miracle grow'...he has gained almost 2.5lbs in the last month!"
EBF is a sacrifice and a choice that is definitely not made lightly. My body is tired. My body is sore and cramped from holding, nursing and burping him every few hours. My body is no longer mine for the next year (+)...but man is it worth it! There were never any concerns about his weight but getting a compliment like that is such a nice "boost" and a great feeling for a mom to hear ❤️
We are now 9 months into our journey. Thanks to this group and team, I was able to accomplish this milestone and I have zero fear of our continued breastfeeding journey ahead 💖 I wish I knew about this program with our first son. However, BECAUSE I did not, I can honestly say the difference between my experiences are incomparable ...this program covers EVERYTHING! It is run by a team of kind, attentive, professionals who are quick to respond/reply to your needs. They spread endless education and encouragement to the breastfeeding community.
Do yourself (and little one) a favor and buy the program ❤️

Just a note to say thank you to this course, we’ve just hit two years of breastfeeding 🥰 it was a rough start with a painful latch due to tongue tie, and a high flow and letdown but look at how far we’ve come. Never thought we’d make it to two years. Only bedtime and first thing in the morning when she wakes up now, but she’s loves it and no idea when or how we will eventually stop 😅

My baby turned one yesterday, also marking one year of successful breastfeeding! Thank you to The Thompson Method for educating me on how to breastfeed—without this supportive community, I would have been very unprepared at the time of his birth. The journey has had its ups and downs, but I’ve loved being able to nurse through all the challenges. The bond I’ve developed with my baby through breastfeeding is so special to me, and I’ll cherish the memories of this time for life.
He’s been weaning himself a couple months already, so I’m not sure how much longer our journey will continue, but I’ll keep offering feeds a few times a day as long as it works for us.

13 months and still nursing! This program helped me so much and I am so grateful to have found The Thompson Breastfeeding Method. The program gave me the education and confidence I needed to breastfeed. I am so glad I didn't depend on my brief time in the hospital for education. The lactation consultants meant the best, I am sure, but they only had so much time to spend with me and they were aggressive and overwhelming. My blood pressure actually shot through the roof after one of my visits because the consultant talked so fast and when she uninvitingly grabbed my breast to "show" me how to self express it hurt! Thankfully, I knew it wasn't supposed to hurt. They also insisted that I should hold my baby in the football hold and told me once my baby opened her mouth to shove her on the breast. There was nothing beautiful about the methods they showed me and quite frankly they scared me and I began to doubt whether I could do it or not. But then I remembered what this course taught me and how I should trust my natural instincts as a Mother. I remembered and began to feel empowered. With the help of another breastfeeding mother and nurse, I stood up for myself and put what I had learned in motion and my baby girl latched perfectly. I wish every Mother could take this course. I am forever grateful and so is my baby girl! The love I feel when my daughter reaches up to touch my face and looks into my eyes while nursing is one I have never felt before and our breastfeeding bond is one I will always cherish. Here is a photo of us in a breast milk bath. Thank you so much for taking the time to create this program!

Almost 4 years ago, I started my journey with my daughter, with whom I struggled enormously with breastfeeding. The pain was so bad that I nearly gave up just 6 weeks into my breastfeeding journey. Between my breastfeeding consultant and the guidance I got from the Thompson method, I was able to overcome my struggles and breastfeed my daughter until she was 2.5 years old! It was an incredible bonding experience between us two.
Less than a year after the end of my breastfeeding journey with my daughter, my son was born. With my son, I was hoping for a similar experience. He latched much easier and it seemed like we would have a smooth breastfeeding experience. However, it wasn't meant to be - I was diagnosed with breast cancer before he turned 4 months old. I was devastated especially because I had a much greater supply with him than with my daughter, and I knew I wouldn't be able to continue to feed him for too long. I reached out to the Thomspon Method group again for guidance in how to handle my situation. I ended up breastfeeding him until I started chemo on his actual 4 month birthday, collecting as much extra milk as possible. In the end, my son was blessed with such a great supply of breastmilk that I was able to extend his breastfeeding journey by 2 months!
Having given my son his last bags of frozen breast milk the yesterday, I reached out to the Thompson Method group again, this time for emotional support, as I was feeling overwhelmed by the prospect that I would never give or make my own breastmilk again. This is when I felt the incredible sense of community and outpouring of support that felt my grief over the premature end of my breastfeeding journey and simulataneously inspired me to continue on my road to recovery from my illness. This is a community that is there for you no matter where your journey takes you, from the administrators to the group members. I am grateful to have stuck with them till the very end.

Sharing my success story with The Thompson Method!
I found The Thompson method in my first week with my baby, Brielle. I had taken a breastfeeding class prior to her birth and was taught the cross cradle, football hold etc to breastfeed. When Brielle was born at the hospital, the nurses were teaching the same things, and would force Brielle to the breast to eat. It was uncomfortable for both of us and I went home with hope as it is a new learning process. Within the first week, it was not going well and we had to start bottle feeding right away as she was not eating. Triple feeding took a toll on me, and I was exhausted with little sleep. I researched other resources around me for help but I was getting the same things everywhere and I needed something new.
I invested in The Thompson Method program and opted to do the Rescue program as I needed some 1:1 advice. I was paired with Sarah and she was kind, gentle and understanding with my struggles. She gave me a few options to try and I opted to go via the route of a nipple shield so that I could stop triple feeding right away and get sleep. I was able to breastfeed via the nipple shield and would remove the nipple shield once in a while to see if Brie would latch directly on the breast.
During the 2nd week of December, I put Brie to the breast without a nipple shield just before bedtime, and she had latched. It was painful but I was happy that she fed without the nipple shield. I started refreshing myself with all the tips on fine tuning to make future feeds more comfortable for us.
Brie is now 3 months and breastfeeding beautifully. She is occasionally bottle fed by dad, but has no issues being fed either way.
The team at The Thompson Method are so supportive and they provide timely and helpful advice, videos from Dr. Robyn and the community that they have built is incredible. I hope that this because the new way to teach all new moms to breastfeed!
I’m so grateful for this program! 🌸🌸🌸

I’m so glad I came across this brilliant resource. Thank you IG ads. It has helped me prepare for the birth of my baby and start me off right on my breastfeeding journey. As much as we think we’re prepared, lots of questions crop up along the way on the breastfeeding journey and I’m glad I have this group to turn to for answers. We’ve been exclusively breastfeeding and baby is now 8 months and we are still in good shape! :) I would highly recommend them.

The Thompson Method Team are outstanding. I was able to manage my breastfeeding challenges through the education modules. Being a part of the community I was able to find answers to question I had and continue on our breastfeeding journey. My questions were always answered timely and the encouragement kept me going. I surpassed my initial breastfeeding goal of 6mth and made it to 12 mths when my daughter self-weaned. This was only possible with the expert advice and support from the Thompson Method Community! I have recommended the program to other families

I share with all the women I know. This changed my life and I'm so grateful for it. Common sense instruction deeply needed for breastfeeding women. I also appreciate from the bottom of my heart that this org continues to use correct biological terminology and the words: woman and breast. Please Dr. Thompson, never leave us behind for woke culture. Please keep fighting for women in our world.

After an unsuccessful breastfeeding experience with my daughter, I was determined to learn everything I could to have a different experience with my son. When I found the Thompson Method, I quickly learned that this method was so much more gentle, intuitive and thorough than the forceful methods shown to me at the hospital after my daughter was born. With the vast amount of resources on the App and the support of the Facebook group, I was able to prepare and ask questions before my son was born. After his birth, a Zoom call with Dr. Thompson helped me fine-tune and improve breastfeeding with my son. Along the journey, Dr. Thompson’s team answered any questions I had and were so supportive of my journey. This led to a beautiful 29 months of nursing my son! I am so grateful for this team and this method. I recommend it to every new Mom!

I started the Thompson Method breastfeeding course during pregnancy to help me prepare for a positive breastfeeding experience. I was worried about the potential for experiencing nipple pain and trauma that might influence me to cease breastfeeding early on. Perhaps the most valuable lesson for me was in how to establish breastfeeding and the importance of the golden hours. This helped to inform my birth map and gave me the confidence in navigating my first and subsequent breastfeeds in the first few hours post birth. I experienced some minor challenges early on which I reached out to the Thompson Method staff (via the Facebook group) for support with. They were able to provide video resources addressing my specific concerns and offered more tailored support as well. The resources provided helped me work through my challenges and I've now been exclusively breastfeeding for 4 months. I didn't know I would love the breastfeeding journey this much, but I've had such a positive experience thanks to the guidance from the Thompson Method professionals.
