5 Months of Successfully Breastfeeding Twins

The Thompson method has been such a benefit to me and my twins. This program, I highly recommend it to anyone even if you have breastfed before.

There is so much to learn. I was lucky enough to feed not only my twins but my niece who came a month later. Yes THREE babies all fed on my milk for four months, my sister is now producing more so now I’m focusing mainly on the twins. This program has made it possible for me to educate other women around me. I always say “ GET THE THOMPSON METHOD.” I could go on and on about how amazing my experience has been. The admins are amazing, Dr. Robyn most likely will not see this? But you are heaven sent, each and everyone of you for the help and support you give.

They are so committed and so kind, always willing to help. I didn’t get a chance to take a photo of my daughter but I got the other twin feeding last night, my son ! 5 months of successful breastfeeding!!! I’m still doing it just not as often. More pumping... but thanks to all you angels.... I have made it this far. I will post a photo of all three of the babies I have been feeding together 🙂 my son feeding last night, my son in his seat with my daughter on him loving each other and another of my daughter, niece in the middle and my son on the other side 💜

I'm so proud of myself and my breasts! EBF my 5 month old twins. We've had our ups and downs, but I think we're through the worst and now I get these beautiful moments.

Thanks to Dr Robyn and all the helpful people in this group. I just wanted those who were feeling like they are struggling, to see that it can happen for you despite set backs. Here's us three enjoying a relaxing feed. I tried to capture my little twin on the left doing her little windscreen wiper action with her hand, but of course she stopped just before I pressed record.

I finally did it! I'm breastfeeding my twin boys after 5 weeks of trying.

Finally did it!!!! Tandem nursed my twin boys after 5 weeks of trying. I have been supplementing and trying to time their feeds just right, and today I just found the courage to try. We succeeded and I attribute it to all I have learned with this course. Watching my babies and following their lead.

Breastfeeding Twins born this morning! I’m so thankful for the confidence.

I did it! Twins born this early morning! 39 weeks at home! So far the smaller twin is feeding great the larger one is lazy at the nipple but after a bit has gotten much better I’m so thankful for the confidence this program gave me! Edit to ad I got them both latched!

Figuring out how to feed two babies at once is no joke! As World Breastfeeding Week comes to an end, I can’t help but feel proud of where the 3 of us are. I stopped breastfeeding after 3 days with these boys because I couldn’t get them to latch in the only position I knew for tandem feeding, and trying to feed one at a time while trying to still be a mom to Matilda and recover from surgery was just too much for me. The benefit didn’t outweigh the cost. However, after a few weeks of reflux and discomfort for River and Henry, and some time for my body to recover, I decided to take on the hopefully not impossible feat of re-lactating and re-establishing breastfeeding. It hasn’t been easy.

We’ve experimented with a few different positions, and we’re still topping up with formula until my milk supply is strong enough for both of these little guys. This morning, though, was the first time that both babies did an exclusive breastfeed with no supplementing at the end! We’re getting there. Woo! A HUGE shoutout to Dr Robyn Thompson - The Thompson Method for guiding me through this journey. ❤️

I just had my first successful tandem feed with my twin boys, all thanks to this group and the support I've received here. My boys came early at 29 weeks and spent 6 weeks in NICU. I've spent 3 months working towards exclusive breastfeeding and there were many times I wanted to give up. Exclusively pumping was taking its toll on me. But I am SO glad I stuck with it!! I'm just posting this to encourage anyone else in a similar situation, YOU CAN DO IT! It does not come without hard work and dedication, but it is so worth it. A special thanks to Rachael for all of her help and words of wisdom!

Celebrating 8 Weeks Breastfeeding My Twin Babies

Yesterday marks 8 weeks that these two sassy bebes have been getting mama’s milk. I don’t really have any questions, just a huge thank you to Dr Robyn Thompson - The Thompson Method and all of the amazing admins that have helped give us advice so that we could make it this far.

Jasper and Grace are thriving. They have doubled their birth weight from 5lbs 1 oz and 5lbs 12 oz to 10lbs 6 oz for both of them currently and we couldn’t be more excited about how amazing this journey has been for them. Baby girl had a tough go at the start in the NICU on a feeding tube because she wasn’t eating on her own and they both lost too much weight in the beginning and also had super hi bilirubin levels. Today we have gotten past all of that and are starting to get chunky little rolls and happy tummies from mama’s milk. Thank you again for the support and for all that you do for us mamas to help us take care of our babies the best we possibly can. ❤️

7 month old twins! These girls have successfully exclusively breastfed since birth thanks to this group. If we didn’t have tons of colostrum to bring with us to the hospital (25+ 2 ounce tubes) we would’ve been in trouble- the staff was awe struck! Also avoided painful forced feeding from nursing staff- we taught them your ways and may have converted a few! The Thompson Method Breastfeeding Club

Confidence in my ability to breastfeed my twins even after a traumatic birth

I just wanted to come here really quickly to say I am so happy I found this course!! Both baby boys were born unexpectedly via an extremely traumatic birth - hemorrhaging, abruption, both babies in distress. Needless to say the birth plan I posted about the other day went out. the. window. Despite not having had skin to skin yet because of babies and my issues, I have gotten 3 ml of colostrum hand expressed for them! The staff is very impressed and started to inquire about the Thompson method because they hadn't heard of it or seen such good results before with such a traumatic birth. 🎉🎉🎉🎉 It's given me confidence to put my foot down and say no thank you, I will express this way! Then when results hit... Yay! Just so happy (considering the circumstances)

A huge thank you to Dr Robyn and Admin. Without your support and guidance, I would not have spoken up for my boys and myself. To cut a long story short; Dr's and special care nurses were pushing me to formula feed. I stood up to them and it was awesome! 😁 Picture below to show off how clever we are.

Today marks 6 months of exclusively breastfeeding twins! I'm shocked!  

It's been a while since I've been on here but I want to thank Dr. Thompson, her team, and everyone who has offered support. Reading your questions and the answers you received have helped so much too. With my first two kids I barely made it 3 months exclusively breastfeeding. I ended stopping around 4 months with each of them. I was doubtful that I would make it far with my twins. I made a goal for myself to try and at least get to 3 months and then supplement until 6 months. Today marks 6 months of exclusively breastfeeding! I'm shocked and excited to be here. It seems a bit silly but I know some of you can relate when I say it feels like such a huge accomplishment. I feel blessed to have gotten this far. ❤️ One of my girls has decided instead of unlatching when she's done, she bites down and twists he head away 😬🥴🤣. Other than that, I see no end in sight. ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you all again.
