Over the past 45 years, working alongside thousands of mothers and babies struggling with breastfeeding from the first breastfeed, Dr Robyn discovered just how critical the first breastfeed was in establishing breastfeeding.
She calls this precious time, the 3 Golden Hours.

In this video, you will discover what the 3 Golden Hours are and how the hospital system is designed for efficiency, which may not be in the best interests of the mother and her baby. You'll also learn how important it is for you to protect your 3 Golden Hours.

In this video, Dr Robyn encourages you (and your partner or advocate) to know and exercise your rights to ensure that if intervention is recommended (such as induction of labour), you are well informed and understand why!

As a pregnant woman, it's understandable to be focused on your labour and birth. It's a big deal. But in this video, Dr Robyn explains how important it is to focus a little further, on the 3 hours following birth. Doing so, may actually help you reduce the risk of complications during labour, birth AND with breastfeeding

How pain relief can affect you and your breastfed baby
Dr Robyn shares information on the effects that opiate pain relief, such as epidurals, may have on your ability to remain in control of your labour and birth. The experienced midwife also shares her observations on the implications associated with breastfeeding the newborn baby and encourages you to carefully consider the options available to you, particularly in relation to opiate pain relief.
